Roadside stall food, Vientiane

When evening falls, the street hawkers will appear, selling various kinds of main meals and snacks at affordable prices.  I came across this gentleman manning a stall.

After some initial gestures and through a Laos friend, I found out that he is of Chinese descent and we got to speak in Mandarin.  He sells snacks with skin made of yam, and with ingredients consist of meat. 

The samosa-looking snack took about 5 minutes to cook.  It is quite filling for one portion and it is like a main meal.  I would recommend a few persons share one portion.

Another common sight would be the fruit shake store. I find the stores generally hygenic and so far, no problems with the stomach. 

Most stalls also sell soya bean drink which I enjoy tremendously.  It is more concentrated than those sold in Singapore.
